Shrimati Ramjiwai Satsang Bhawan, also known as the “Best Ashram in Vrindavan,” has a rich history
dating back to the mid-1970s. With the blessings of Shri Nikunj Bihari ji Maharaj, the ashram was
founded by Shri Jankinath Anand Ji in the winter of 1975. On his path, dedicated to promoting
spirituality, self-realisation, and service to humanity, he spent 35 years of his life in Vrindavan.
Migrating from his homeland in Rawalpindi, Pakistan, during the partition of India in 1947, Shri
Jankinath Anand Ji settled in Mumbai and succeeded as a businessman. Known for his ethics and
honesty, Shri Jankinath Anand Ji, a respected member of a large family, his soul still searched for a
sense of belonging. In Vrindavan, on the banks of the holy Yamuna, he was drawn towards “bhakti”
(devotion) and away from "grihasti" (family life). Without compromising his love and his duties for
his family, he lived in celibacy, in the service of Radha Rani and the devotees of Vrindavan.
